In this context, please also see the privacy statements of the relevant social media platforms.
Data processing by us
The data entered by you on our social media sites, such as e.g. user name, comments, videos, images, likes, public messages etc. are published by the social media platform and are not used for other purposes by us at any time. We only reserve the right to delete content if this is necessary. Where appropriate, we share your contents on our website, if the social media platform offers a function for this, and communicate with you via the social media platform.
If you send us a request on a social media platform, depending on the content, we refer to other, safe means of communication that guarantee confidentiality. For example, you can always send us requests to the address or email address stated in the imprint. You have the choice of the appropriate communication channel. The legal basis for processing your data is Article 6 (1) (1) (f) GDPR. The data processing is performed for the legitimate interest of public relations work for our company and to communicate with you.
Some social media platforms generate statistics which are created based on usage data and contain information about your interaction with our social media site. We cannot influence or stop the creation and availability of these statistics.
The legal basis for this information is Article 6 (1) (1) (f) GDPR with the legitimate interest being the validation of our use of social media sites and to improve our contents for our target groups.
We occasionally make use of the described social media platforms for targeted advertising.
For this, we use target group definitions provided by the social medial service provider. We only use anonymous target group definitions - i.e. we define characteristics based on general demographic information, behaviour, interests and connections. The social media platform operator uses these to target the ads to its users. The legal basis for this is the consent the social media platform operator has obtained from its users. If you want to revoke this consent, please make use of the revocation options provided by the social media platform service provider, as the social media platform operator is responsible for this processing. Occasionally, we or the social media platform provider also use publicly available data for the target group definition. The legal basis for this processing is Article 6 (1) (f) GDPR. Our legitimate interest is to achieve an appropriate target group definition. We never use sensitive categories of personal data mentioned in Article 9 and 10 GDPR for the definition of the target group.
We do not use target group definitions based on local data (real-time tracking). We do not disclose personal data within the framework of target group definitions to the social media platform operator.
Occasionally, we also use information about the visit or interaction with other sites for the target group definition (re-marketing). For this, we, among other things, also use cookies. However, in these cases, we obtain consent from the users on the other sites via our consent banners, and inform them about our data processing at this point. You can revoke your consent at any time by accessing the consent banner again on the relevant website.
If you want to object to a specific data processing which we have influence on, please make use of the contact details in the imprint.
Duration of storage
We delete your personal information, once they are no longer required for the intended purpose and if there are no legal retention obligations to the contrary.
